Discover the secrets of fantasy points
Fantasy Points
The scoring system of RiftMarkt Fantasy is driven by two key data sources: the Riot Games API and the data provided by LoL Fandom.
As a result, all data will be considered accurate unless an exceptional case is detected where a correction is necessary
This also means that if there is a chronobreak or a situation where neither Riot nor the wiki has a "backup" for the match, no fantasy points will be awarded for that game.
- General Points. Comprised of 4 variables: CS/min, KDA, damage per minute to champions, and vision score.
-
Team Points. Based on team objectives like dragons, Nashor, towers, and inhibitors.
Points are awarded for each successful objective, such as 2 points for a victory or 1 point for Baron Nashor. - Bonus Points. Special achievements, such as solo kills, pentakills, objective steals, or first blood, each come with additional points.
League of Legends is a complex game with many variables, making it challenging to create an objective and balanced scoring system. We've chosen to keep things simple and easy to understand, with three main categories: General, Team, and Bonus Points.
General Points Breakdown
The "General" category consists of four key stats: CS/min, KDA, damage per minute to champions, and vision score.
Below is the breakdown for each:
-
CS/min: Points are awarded based on creeps per minute.
For example, between 3 and 5.9 CS/min gives 1 point, while 9-11.9 CS/min awards 3 points. -
KDA: A player's KDA (Kills, Deaths, Assists) is used to determine points, with a cap at 8 points.
We apply a modifier (KDA * 2/3) to keep the system balanced. - Damage per Minute: 1 point is awarded for every 300 damage per minute dealt to enemy champions.
- Vision Score: Calculated using the formula: VS / game time * 0.8, awarding points based on the player's vision contribution during the match.
Team Points
Team points are awarded based on the objectives completed by the player's team during the match:
- Victory: 2 points
- Dragon: 0.4 points
- Elder Dragon: 1.5 points
- Baron Nashor: 1 point
- Rift Herald: 0.5 points
- Void Grubs: 6 grubs = 1 point, 5 grubs = 0.5 points
- Towers: 0.1 points per tower
- Inhibitors: 0.3 points per inhibitor
Bonus Points
Bonus points are awarded for outstanding individual achievements during the match:
- Plates: 1 point for every 4 plates (rounded down)
- Solo Kill: 1 point
- 2 Double Kills: 1 point (rounded down)
- Triple Kill: 1 point
- Quadra Kill: 2 points
- Pentakill: 4 points
- Objective Steal: 2 points
- Objective Steal Assist: 1 point
How Points Are Calculated in Series?
When playing a Best of 1 (Bo1), points are straightforward. However, what happens when there's a Best of 3 (Bo3) or Best of 5 (Bo5)? The total points are averaged by dividing the total points from all matches by the number of games played. This system rewards teams that win maps or fight through longer series, while also penalizing a 3-2 result compared to a clean 3-0.
In 2025, we plan to introduce coaches into the scoring system. The current forecast for coach points is 10 points per victory. This means:
- 3-0 result: 10 points
- 0-3 result: 0 points
- 3-1 result: 8 points
- 1-3 result: 2 points
- 2-1 result: 7 points
- 1-2 result: 3 points
- 3-2 result: 6 points
- 2-3 result: 4 points
- Best of 2 (1-1): 5 points
